Get one

If you'd like to get one LCFesR (LC, LCF, LCR, in-circuit ESR, frequency meter, battery's internal resistance checker) unit which is assembled, calibrated and ready to use SMD version (see another picture) - that is smaller (its size is exactly 10cm x 5cm) with all 3 connectors and button built in with assembled and tested LCD display (see picture) - please contact me (dr. Le Hung). I'd like to confirm that the SMD version has the same functionality as the through hole version and it has the same or similiar quality critical components.

There is a possibility to get a more affordable, about 80% assembled DIY Kit with all the SMD components being reflow soldered in advance on the PCB and all you have to do is soldering a few through hole components, the rotary switch, the ribboncables to the LCD display and at the end calibrating the meter. Please contact me, if you would like to to take this opportunity.

If you have LCFesR4.5 SMD version, then the information to connect it to power and measuring cables are here!

LCFesR 4.5 meter is a good enough meter and lots of builders are sattisfied with it. But if you are looking for a meter that can measure resistance in a whole range to 10MOhm, can measure C and ESR in-circuit at the same time, can better measure inductors from 60uH, can measure with fix frequency (100Hz, 1kHz, 10kHz) or can automatically choose the optimal measuring frequency or display secondary measuring features (impedance: Z, series resistance: Rs or ESR, reactive impedance: X, quality factor: Q, loss factor: D, phase angle) then you can have a look at my 2.9C LCR meter Kit project.

Build one

With all information you find in my web page, you can build one meter with the LCFesR DEMO software to test it. The DEMO version (see documentation page -> download part) is a fully functional with time-limit. If you like, you can get one AtMega88PA-PU through hole processor with full software burned in and in-meter tested from me with a very reasonable price. Please contact me, if you would like to get one.

I used to have a through hole LCFesR Kits in the past, but for now I can only send preprogrammed and thoroughly tested AtMega88PA-PU processor.

Next you can find useful information to build a through hole LCFesR meter:
